The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) was established on 1929 as a department of the government of Tamil Nadu. The department was the first Provincial Public Service Commission in India. The headquarter of the department is located at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The department is headed by a Chairman and comprises fourteen other members. The department is responsible for governing the recruitment of personnel into the state’s public service. The department invites various notification for filling various posts every year. This year also the department was announced the notification for recruitment of village administrative officer (VAO). A huge number of candidates have filled the application form and also was appeared in the written examination which was held on 28th February 2016 at various examination centers.
