The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) is a power generation and distribution company. The board was founded on 1 July 1957 as the Madras State Electricity Board according to the Electricity Supply Act and 1 November 2010 as TNEB Limited under the authority of the Department of Power. The Headquarters of the board is located at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The board are responsible for electricity generation, distribution and transmission. Every year the board invites various notification. This year also the board has been announced the notification for filling Assistant Engineer (Electrical), Assistant Engineer (Mechanical), Assistant Engineer (Civil), Technical Assistant (Electrical), Technical Assistant (Mechanical), Field Assistant (trainee), Junior Assistant/Administration, Junior Assistant/Accounts, Junior Auditor, Tester Chemical, Typist, Assistant Draughtsman and Steno- typist. There age limit of the candidates are 18 years to 30 years and must have cleared their Diploma/Degree in relevant Engineering subjects along with computer knowledge.
